Capt Log 27Jan13

Capt Log 27Jan13

I finished the Big 5. I just completed gunnery 4 and before i go up to gunnery 5, i took sharpshooting to lvl 4 and working on spaceship command lvl 4.

My 2 miners are doing extremely well. Tragg is my first miner that i made and he is almost complete with astrogeology 5. Just one more day left. Then i'm going to start going for exhummer. I recently got him mining upgrade 2 and type 2 mine striper. Which is a really nice improvement.

My other miner, Luke, recently got in a retriever and i just got him mining upgrades 2 but still using mining strip 1. I can tell a big difference between them. I finish about 6 minutes early with tragg.

Since i have 2 miners i got the foreman skill on tragg so i can have a fleet boost which is a nice help. I plan to take it to lvl 5 after i get exhummer and then mining director. After that it will be orca.

As for TC, i have been slacking on doing missions. I did a little bit with him this weekend with gallente but didnt stick to it because our corp moved again to another location so i had to put it on hold and get my stuff moved. After i get gunnery 5 i'm going to start going for battleship. Not sure what i'm going to get yet but ill be shopping. Well that is all for now. Thanks for reading.

I've been mostly just mining and making money recently while my big 5 skills upgrade. Looks like i will be done with the big 5 by next week. So then i will start acquire the skills i need to handle a battleship and other neccessary support skills for it. This log is going to be short today but i thought i would share this video of space above and beyond intro. Its pretty sweet. Make sure to watch the whole thing, there is 2 parts to it. Only a minute and a half. The show only survived one season because fox cancelled it. Fox has a habit of cancelling great shows.

Capt's Log 15Jan13

Capt's Log 15Jan13,

I completed drone lvl 5 and i'm now exploring with drones. I bought some wasp drones but i can only have 2 deployed right now due to ship bandwidth so i'll have to get a better that supports it better. In the mean time, i went with another cruiser, the velexar(i think i spelled that wrong) that can carry a lot of drones. I also upgrade to using medium scouts. I havent put them to the test yet. Last week was an exhausting week because of work and over the weekend, i just wanted to make money from mining and let my big 5 skills level up. Right now, i have hull upgrades and electronics finished. I just need to finish engineering, navigation and mechanics. Looks like engingeering will be done by the weekend. After i finish the big 5 i'm going to start training for a battleship. Probably the drone support one.

I also made another alt for mining and eventually evolve him to battle and other skills that i could use. Maybe salvaging and scanning. My main mining alt is doing good, i was training astrogeology 5 but put it on hold to level mining upgrades 4 so i can have a better yield. I'm also going to have him invest in trading so i can modify my sell orders anywhere in the region and get better tax discounts.

This weekend ill give the drones a run in missions and then mine again. So i can start saving up for plex and better ships. I had ore for sell for 3 days for 16.20, i change it to 16.01 and made an instant 30mil. So that was nice. At least now, i know to tinker with the market. Well that is all for now. Thanks for reading.

Capt's Log 9 Jan 13

I've been doing a lot of lvl one security's and finally made it to level 2. I would still be stuck on lvl 1 but i remember someone telling me to get the connections skill and after i did, i automatically jumped to lvl 2. On my first level 2 mission my ship was taking pretty heavy fire so i may have to come up with some better defenses or get a new ship. Right now i'm flying the thorax and i like it pretty well. I got afterburner to level 4 and got the upgraded afterburner module and after that my ship went from 386 to 800m/s. I was told microwarprdrive is better so when i get the chance i will get that skill. I'm not sure what ship i'm goinng with next. After cruiser they all get really slow.

I got hull uprades to level 5. I started investing in the drones skill. I will be level 5 today. I also got the salvaging drones to help me out with the wrecks afterward. I like my light scout drones though, they really help out a lot when fighting. I will be investing in the heavy assault ones soon.

Last week sometime, i was buying parts and autopiloting to places to pick it up. Well when i bought one, i didnt notice the part was in a low security place. So i autopiloted there, and when i got thereand i was about to dock, i was getting shot at. It took me by surprise. So now i make sure i dont make that mistake again.

I started a mining alt and he just got lvl 5 mining yesterday and now i'm working astrogeology lvl 5. A few weeks ago, someone in our alliance went to go mine. Well somebody was being rude and told him to leave because he was here first. Our alliance didnt like that one bit, so about 34 of us went there and drained all the asteroid belts just to mock the guy. That guy was really unhappy. His corp showed up and said we started it and then some one in our alliance copy and pasted the text what the guy said earlier and they were quiet after that. So that was pretty cool.

Well that is all for today. Thanks for reading.

Captains log 28 DEC 12

Captains log 28 DEC 12,

I completed the exploration tutorial and i can tell you i will never be doing scanning unless absolutely necessary. I did one scan that took me awhile to get to 100% and then when i tried to complete the mission i didnt have the item i needed to get through. So i had to go back to the station to get it hoping that i wouldnt have to rescan, but of course i did. So i spent awhile doing another scan, wasn't making much progress so i quit for a few days. Last night i started again, took me another hour to get one to 100%. Finally completed it.

So with that being done, i'm now moving my items to our corp new location. I bought a iteron and wow it is slow. I decided if i'm going to fly a slow ship, i should train up the ship skill to get the mark 3 ship. I should have the skill to level 3 today. I also made a mining alt and i'm training him up in all the mining skills that he will need.

After i get my stuff moved to the new location i'm going to started doing security missions. Work my skills up to a battle cruiser. Well thats all for now.

Here is a quote from the tv show i was talking about.

"We thought we were alone. We believed the universe was ours until one night in 2063 on an earth colony sixteen light years away. They struck! And now we're at war. My name is Lt. Colonel T.C. McQueen. I'm an In-vitro, a race of artificially gestated humans. I command a Marine Corp squadron ... the 58th. They call us the Wild Cards. We fight when called, in space, on land, and at sea. To lose this war means more than defeat. To surrender is to never go home. All of us must rise to the call above and beyond."

Capt Log 21Dec13

Captain's Log of Tyrius C McQueen,
The name is TC McQueen. I joined the game a week ago and so far love it. Took some getting used to but I'm just adjusting pretty well. Here is a brief background before I get started.

For a year and half I played Uncharted Waters Online. A free game by Koei/Netmarble. While it is a free game they have item shop plus treasure box to buy game items. I started my character in that game as LukeCoohair and became a master maritimer/shipbuilder. You have 3 classes to level up, adventure/trade/maritime. Each class has skills and of course can be well rounded. I mostly concentrated on trade and maritime and then eventually worked in to adventure. The game takes place in the age of discovery. You can sail a lot of different ships and work your way up to the best ships. You can also become a pirate or bounty hunter. It's a pretty fun game and I recommend it if you are looking something different to play. I left that game because I just ran out of stuff to work on and there's not much left for me to do. If you're interested on more details of the game. You can send me a in game email. No benefit to me for recommending. I just loved the game that's all.

The reason I'm making a log because with that game I had a captains log and it was fun keeping track of what I did. So I thought I would do the same.

So enough of UWO, I joined a corporation shortly after I got in the game and its very newb friendly. The leader suggested I train the big 5 first before I get deep into new ships greater then destroyers. So I'm following his advice. So far I did most of the tutorial missions. I have the explorer ones left which I'm not fond of but I will do it anyway. My plans for the combat is to become a great combat pilot. I may work into the shipbuilding part in the game after I master the combat skills and mining. Who knows how long it will take though. So far I'm working on the level 4's of the big 5. I will be offline for a few days so I will start working on one of them to go to level 5.

The name TC McQueen, I got that name from the show Space above and beyond back in the 90's. Great show. After I made him, I ran into another McQueen in rookie chat. So I'm guessing the name is popular on eve. It's all good though because I'm not running into many McQueen's now. Well that is all for now. I will keep my adventures updated as I progress. Thanks for reading and I apologize for any grammar errors.
